My Love Story TBT

Hello everyone,
Next Tuesday is Valentine's Day, and  February 14th always has
been my favorite day of the year.
My love story never gets old to me, Although I have been
married for 57 years on July 17, 2017.
The reason February 14th is such a favorite day is that
I was engaged on that day in 1960.

I would like to share my love story with you now.
I actually love Valentine's Day because it's the day I became engaged to the man I married on July 17th, 1960.
We met in the Spring of 1959. I was a senior in high school,
and my future husband was a junior.  We sang in the high school choir and one day we were practicing a song from "My Fair Lady."
I looked up to the top row of bass singers, and I saw this darling face smiling at me.  I was smitten and amazed.  He was so cute.
We dated and fell in love. On February 14th, 1960  We drove to San Francisco to have dinner and see a movie to celebrate
Valentine's Day. While we were enjoying dessert
my future husband proposed to me.  I said "Yes" and the
rest is history.
Thanks for visiting today
Joyously,
Betty

  2. Betty, that is a beautiful love story! what's even more awesome is that you and your husband are still together and in love. February 14th is my wedding anniversary, my husband and I were high school sweethearts as well. He passed away 15 years ago at the age of 53, but I am so thankful that we had a wonderful marriage...not perfect because we are imperfect people, but we were blessed to have Christ at the center of our union and that made all the difference in the world! Love your blog and have a wonderful Valentine's day celebrating with your husband! :-)
